A Behavioral Characterization of Plausible Priors

One of the last great novels of José Saramago, Death with Interruptions, begins with an epigraph taken from Ludwig Wittgenstein: “If, for example, you were to think more deeply about death, then it would be truly strange if, in so doing, you did not encounter new images, new linguistic fields”. José Saramago , um prémio Nobel levantado do chão : uma escrita de subversão na subversão da escrita

A Literatura Portuguesa, qual universo riquíssimo em constelações com mundos e estrelas de criação estética, recebe agora um reconhecimento inequívoco e decisivo. A Língua Portuguesa, Pátria cultural de autores notáveis espalhados pelas estradas da lusofonia, pode encontrar agora em José Saramago um arauto universal, como o poderia encontrar, também como justo prémio, em muitos outros escritores que mereciam esse galardão, tal é a profusão de possíveis homenageados. Num mundo em que um reconhecimento público premeia com glória (ainda que fugaz) um vulto das Letras nacionais, é lícito que a cultura de expressão portuguesa se sinta orgulhosa. Mais ainda, como cidadãos e amantes da Cultura Portuguesa, devemos encontrar em Saramago não um autor mas sim um fautor, um verdadeiro arauto, um embaixador dos séculos de labor e criatividade espiritual. Não se nos afigura fácil tecer algumas singelas considerações relativas a José Saramago, ele próprio uma figura complexa e polémica . Talvez possamos começar com um episódio elucidativo

A ASSINATURA "JOSÉ SARAMAGO": TEMAS-PROBLEMAS MAIS RECORRENTES

Como subproduto da fragmentação de minha dissertação de Mestrado (O autor José Saramago em Ensaio sobre a Cegueira: onde um olha moderno se combina a uma representação ensaístico-alegórica), precisamente as vinte e quatro primeiras laudas, este artigo inicia-se traçando uma breve exposição acerca da questão autoral a partir dos postulados de Roland Barthes (2004), Michel Foucault (1969), Giorgio Agamben (2005), entre outros teóricos já na introdução; tal labor é, em seu curso, direcionado ao autor português José Saramago. Com solo propício já sedimentado, portanto, dou partida a apresentação e discussão dos temas- problema mais recorrentes na obra romanesca sob a assinatura de José Saramago, sobretudo em o Ensaio sobre a Cegueira (SARAMAGO, 2012)

CENTAUROS MUITO ALÉM DO JARDIM

Resumo: Este artigo analisa e compara duas representações da figura mítica do centauro em narrativas publicadas por José Saramago e Moacyr Scliar. Com grande importância estética em imagens na antiguidade grega, a percepção contemporânea destes dois autores tem a particularidade de não apenas dar relevância ao seu significado histórico, mas também compreender como a figura do centauro em suas obras metaforiza e ecoa as relações humanas no mundo contemporâneo.Palavras-chave: Centauro; José Saramago, Moacyr Scliar; Identidade; Relações humanas contemporâneas.  Abstract: This article analyzes and compares two representations of the mythical figure of the centaur in narratives by José Saramago and Moacyr Scliar. Having achieved great aesthetic importance in pictorial representations in Greek antiquity, the contemporary narratives of these two authors have the particularity of not only considering the centaur in its historical magnitude, but also giving clues as to how it metaphorizes and echoes human relations in the contemporary world.Keywords: Centaur; José Saramago; Moacyr Scliar; Identity; Contemporary human relations.
